Neuroaffirming

Insight, understanding and support.

At Insight Collaborative, we work alongside children, young people, families and professionals to better understand behaviour, distress and unmet needs. Our aim is to create supports that feel respectful, practical and sustainable.

Not compliance-based. Not behaviourist.

Despite the name behaviour support, our work is not built on control, punishment or compliance-driven methods. Our approach is grounded in neuroscience, relational safety, evidence-based practice and genuine collaboration.

We believe behaviour makes sense in context. Rather than focusing only on what can be seen, we explore the factors underneath, including nervous system stress, sensory load, communication, environment, relationships and unmet needs.

We love working with all ages and stages. Insight Collaborative has a particular interest in supporting autistic children and young people, including those with a PDA profile. We understand that many conventional approaches can increase stress rather than reduce it and we work to build supports that honour autonomy, regulation and individual differences.

Who we work with

Working together around the child or young person.

We support children, young people and the broader teams around them, including parents, carers, schools, support coordinators, allied health professionals and other key supports.

For families

No judgement.

Many families come to us feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or unsure where to turn next. We aim to offer support that feels validating, respectful and genuinely helpful, while helping make sense of what may be happening beneath the surface.

Referrals

Clear pathways to get started.

We welcome both NDIS and private referrals. Whether you are a parent, carer, school, support coordinator or allied health professional, you can find the right referral pathway here.

Insight that leads to understanding, support and change.

If you are looking for compassionate, neuroaffirming and collaborative support, Insight Collaborative is here to help.

★★★★★

“We finally felt like someone actually understood our child and our family. She took the time to really listen and look at the bigger picture, not just the negative things everyone else seemed focused on. The strategies she gave us made so much sense and were actually achievable in real life. I would absolutely recommend Insight Collaborative to any family looking for a more understanding .”
