Referrals

At Insight Collaborative, we welcome referrals for children, young people and families seeking neuroaffirming, compassionate and practical support.

We understand that reaching out can feel like a big step. Our referral process is designed to be clear, respectful and easy to follow, whether you are seeking support through the NDIS or privately.

Insight Collaborative offers behaviour support and family-centred services grounded in relationship-based, trauma-aware and neurodiversity-affirming practice. We work alongside families, carers, schools and support teams to build understanding, reduce distress and create supports that are realistic, collaborative and sustainable.

Referrals can be made by:

• Parents and carers
• Self-referring participants
• Support coordinators
• Plan managers
• Schools and education staff
• Allied health professionals
• GPs, paediatricians and other medical professionals

We accept referrals for NDIS participants who are self-managed, plan-managed or agency-managed, depending on service availability and suitability.

NDIS referrals may be appropriate where a participant is seeking behaviour support or related services that align with their plan goals and funding.

To make an NDIS referral, please use the NDIS referral form linked below. Once received, we will review the referral and make contact to discuss suitability, availability and next steps.

We also welcome private referrals for families who wish to access support outside of the NDIS.

Private services may be suitable for families seeking early support, consultation, parent support, school collaboration or behaviour support without NDIS funding.

To enquire about private services, please complete the private referral form linked below. We will then be in touch to discuss your needs, service options and current availability.

To help us determine whether Insight Collaborative is the right fit, it is helpful to include as much relevant information as you can in the referral form. This may include the person’s age, current supports, key concerns, goals and any important contextual information about home, school or community settings.

Submitting a referral does not guarantee service availability, but every referral is carefully considered and responded to as soon as possible.

At Insight Collaborative, we value safety, dignity, autonomy and genuine collaboration. We aim to work in ways that honour the person’s nervous system, communication style, strengths and lived experience.

We know that behaviour is communication and that meaningful support begins with curiosity, connection and understanding.

If you are unsure which referral pathway is right for you, or would like to discuss suitability before referring, please get in touch via the contact page and we will be happy to help.
